“SHEPHERDS AND SHEEP”

There is a great deal of Scripture that speaks about the shepherds and the sheep. Sometimes, as in Ezekiel 34, the shepherds are condemned for neglecting the sheep and leading them astray, and scattering them. Other times, as in Matthew 10, Jesus tells His disciples that he sends them out as sheep among wolves. Other times this same imagery is used to express the loving and caring nature of God. Jesus of course is the Good and Great Shepherd of our souls who loves us and gave His live for His sheep. He did this that we may have life, and have it abundantly.
