COMING TO JESUS

Jesus and Nicodemus are having a conversation and what is clear is what Nicodemus does not understand. Jesus clearly points out that Nicodemus has not received the knowledge he needs to know what it means to have eternal life. Jesus being a discerner of the heart knows what needs to be said. He tells him that he needs to be born again, not of flesh, but of the Spirit. This is the beginning of Jesus teaching Nicodemus that he needs to believe in what God has done. God had sent His only Son and it is in Him we find eternal life through belief, not just knowing.
